In an article for the Evening Gazette, Karen McLauchlan states that as this Sunday (June 21st) is the longest day of the day, those looking to carry out a DIY project should look to take full advantage of the light evenings.
Writing for the Middlesbrough-based newspaper, she recommends doing some painting and decorating over the weekend as people will be able to see their work more clearly in natural brightness rather than artificial lighting.
Indeed, she claims that getting stuck into such DIY projects “are ideal jobs” for this time of year.
Whether doing some decorating this weekend or later on in the year, those looking to give their home a fresh lick of paint may want to heed the advice put forward in a recent Independent article.
Here, the newspaper suggested that bright colours – such as yellow, orange and lime green – are in-trend colours, particularly when used in the kitchen and bathroom.
