Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow has implored DIY enthusiasts to be more conscious of the environment when making home improvement changes.
Ms Paltrow, who starred in the latest Iron Man film, has urged her army of fans to make their abodes more environmentally friendly.
As a result, she offered tips and advice in her weekly Goop newsletter, which includes a list of hints that can help families ‘go green’.
The American recommends switching to energy-saving light bulbs, installing proper home insulation and reducing meat consumption.
“Not only (do we need) to understand the ways in which fossil fuel consumption has shaped us, but what we can now do to lessen (or even end) our dependence on this dwindling resource,” she remarked.
This follows claims made recently by Aaron Crowe, of Wallet Pop, that simple DIY projects can offer cost effective or even cost free solutions to revamping the home.
Speaking to UK Net Guide, Mr Crowe explained that de-cluttering the home cannot only be carried out without incurring any costs, but it can also allow DIY Britons to make some money by holding a garage sale of their unused items.
